My idea is complete, and done. I've decided to make a cd (mix... i usualy don't like them either) of my favorite songs. Not just my new favorites, but ones I've always likedand the ones that got me through this year. Songs from Goo Goo dolls, Michael Buble,3 Doors down, Everclear, and others. If you want a copy of it just let me know.
Tired

I'm tired.
I need a break from it all. I need a break from all the stupid drama that goes on. I need a break from my friends. I need a break from my family. I need a break from the nothingness that fills the time in between.
I need to crash.

Where's my Kitty...

Boris... so full of life, dynamite ready to go off. I love that kitty. I got him when I went back into Montana when I was still going out with Becca. He was so small, you could hold him in your hand. We had to feed him using an eye dropper.
Boris was amazing. When he was little he couldn't jump on the chair, so you climbed up one grab at a time. Pepper hated him at first, but slowly Boris one him over. He won everyone over, everyone liked him.
Boris and I... I don't know how to say it. When he was full of energy, he would let me pick him up when he was trying to fight everyone else. He always made me feel better, he always was just so full of it.
Last night there was a big storm; wind, rain, all that stuff but he still wanted to go out. We let him. Our neighbor said she saw him running around and dashing through neighbors yards. One of Jon's big trees fell over last night.
We haven't seen Boris since we let him out....
God I hope he is ok...

Sometimes it feels like we are going through the same thing; the patterns we go through in our lives get old. The things that we need to get through our daily routine change, the things that we hold dear to our hearts disappear. It disappears like it wasn't even there. What is there to do?
Heaven forbid that we find the treasure that we lost in a different form. We are greedy; without doubt we'll grab it again. We know exactly how it is going to fall, but living in bliss is better then not.

Christmas List

I think it's funny, I'm really looking forward to Christmas. Christmas has meant different things to people. Some people it is to celebrate the birth of Christ, some it is to see family, some it is to give gifts, others to receive, and even some don't give or get gifts because they believe that's not the meaning of it all. I believe it's a time to get closer to the ones you love and care about.
Christmas lists I believe are a horrid idea, just like giving out fruit cakes. If you don't know what to get somebody it's ok. Christmas isn't the time of the year to be forgiven for the past year. Something Christmas is to me is icing on the cake, to show someone how much you care. My goal this year is to spend the least amount of money on gifts, but make the most out of it.
I was trying to decide what I should get for Rachel. I could get her jewelry, clothes, a number of things. Honestly though, I don't know Rachel that well. If I got her a shirt, I'm not sure if she would like it. What if she had all the clothes she wanted? I decided that I'm gonna make her dinner and we'll watch a movie together. The bill might come out to twenty dollars (depends if i buy food or not) but she is going to think about it all week.
Gifts can be a bad idea too. Sometimes giving a gift can make things awkward, especially if you didn't get that person one. If you have a group of friends why don't you all decide on doing something? Or even white elephant.
The whole idea of gift giving is to make the other person feel comfortable Keep gifts simple and don't make a big deal out of it.

A Walk Through the Park

This year has had a number of challenges that I wasn't ready for. I was thinking the whole summer that this year was going to be a walk through the park. Amongst all of my challenges, one stands out. This year I was put to a challenge that caught me so off guard, I've kinda made a fool of myself. First chair isn't an easy thing.
First chair in jazz band is hard. The part is above my range, I have to have the rhythms exact and i have to lead. LEAD!?! Who knew how hard it would be. I have to get my sections respect and not being an upper classmen is hard, but to make it worse I'm not in wind ensemble. I have to work at the whole respect thing by being a good player and not acting to cocky.
So how do I become a good player? This is the first year I have to worry about it. Freshman year I had Rheo. Rheo was pretty amazing, he helped me a lot. This year I have no one to look up to, I'm my own cause. I have to look for inspiration to get me going, I have to find the reason why I should practice. I have to look to my trumpeters to help me out.
I must say, I have some pretty cool trumpeters. 'lil Jon is kinda... not there. I don't think jazz is his cup of tea, and I don't think he likes how this whole thing is ran. Zack and Tyler are trying pretty hard. They are keeping me going. Then there is Jon. Jon is good, but he isn't putting the effort in the parts that we need. He has to much going on so he hasn't put the effort into it. As a result, he is playing lower parts, which is fine.
It might be hard this year, but I think I can do it. I just need to practice more and need to start finding more reasons to play up to the bar.

The past few days have been more then interesting. Jazz contest, Rachel, Thanksgiving coming, all of that stuff.
Jazz contest... was ok. We played ok, but that's the thing, ok. We might have taken last (I don't know yet) but I learned a few things. First, it's always good to have a mic on when you solo. Second, There is some real talent out there. I was surprised to hear form the other bands; the teachers, the students, and see there instruments. Some had some nice instruments, some had some pretty talented students, and some had some really good charts. Us on the other hand.... we are getting there. Third thing I noticed is how far behind we are, and I guess it's my job to push the whole band forward. This lead trumpet part... I need to step up. The band needs to start playing up to there potential.
Rachel has been pretty much amazing this past week. She has met most of my family and they seem to like her. I don't know what else to say.... things are great with her.
Thanksgiving is going to be interesting for me, mostly boring. I am going to Spokane for the week, hoping I'm getting back Saturday so Rachel and i can do something Sunday.
I have one last random thing to ask, is what Bre said true?
Bre: sometimes you're so girly it's amazing you're not gay. but then there's other times that your maleness really stands out
Tell me your thoughts, give me some reason why you think that and if it is good or not. I'm not gonna change who I, mostly because I love me, but let me know.

I've been trying these past few days to write a post about Rachel, but I can't. I can't seem to find the best way to describe, but I think I have an idea.
She is breathtaking.
Words can't describe it.
She appreciates me as much as I do her.
Wow...

Life is an amazing thing. Sometimes it seems that we get to caught up in it to realize how great it is. We all have or downs but then we have are ups. It's funny how things work.
Recently I've been having a major down, you can tell if you read my other posts but something has changed since then. what that something is is hard to put my finger on but i know what it is that lit it. It's funny how something that simple can make you blindsided to your problems.
I also think it's funny how a simple problem can make you blindsided to all the great things going on. It seems like you forget it, or somehow can't except it when our so called worlds crash.
Life is to great to ignore all the wonderful things going on.
